Welcome to the world of Fascia – the largest organ in the human body
Have you ever experienced persistent tension and nagging pain even after a massage or chiropractic adjustment? Modern science might be overlooking a crucial aspect of the body’s communication system. Ancient Taoist healers recognized Fascia as a key component of this system. Fascia acts like an intelligent network, akin to an information highway within the body.
What is Fascia?
Fascia is a connective tissue that envelops and supports every muscle, organ, nerve, and bone, and even skin. It forms a web that provides structural integrity from head to toe. It functions as the body’s internal architecture, giving it strength, stability, and flexibility. Here’s how experts describe it:
“Fascia, in architecture, is a continuous flat band or molding parallel to the surface that it ornaments, either projecting from or slightly receding into, as in the face of a Classical Greek or Roman entablature.”
– Britannica
“Fascia is a thin casing of connective tissue that surrounds and holds every organ, blood vessel, bone, nerve fiber, and muscle in place. The tissue does more than provide internal structure; Fascia has nerves that make it almost as sensitive as skin.”
– Hopkins Institute
“Fascia is the dense irregular connective tissue that surrounds and connects every muscle and every single organ of the body forming continuity throughout the body making it an important integrative element in human posture and movement organization and is often referred to as the “organ of form.”
– Jaap van der Wal, MD, PhD
Modern Medicine vs. Ancient Knowledge
While modern medicine is beginning to recognize the importance of Fascia, Taoist monks understood its significance already thousands of years ago. They believed Fascia stores emotional energy linked to stress, trauma, and other experiences. They mapped these energies to specific organs and developed Chi Nei Tsang (CNT) to release trapped chi and restore balance. Today, Western medicine has identified over 160 types of Fascia, yet the practice remains rare despite its profound effectiveness.
Injuries to Fascia can create adhesions that obstruct chi flow. For instance, after a car accident, sports injury, or fall, inflammation and internal scare tissue initially protects the area but may lead to chronic problems down the road. Chronic injuries can lead to persistent, life-long adhesions in the Fascia if not treated. Similarly, repeated injuries can cause long-lasting knots and friction if not cleared.
Emotional injuries are just as serious as physical ones. Adhesions in the Fascia can also result from unprocessed emotions, affecting overall chi flow. Chakra centers may be drained and even shut down. These blockages act as roadblocks, causing muscle, joint, and nerve pain, reducing flexibility, and leading to stiffness. Hardened, toxic-filled Fascia further impedes chi flow, causing dryness and brittleness, which can impair movement, breathing, organ function, and your immune system.
The Importance of Healthy Fascia
For vibrant health, healthy Fascia is essential. Flexible Fascia allows muscles to move smoothly with minimal friction. When Fascia becomes dehydrated, it stiffens and loses its flexibility, resembling crinkled skin. Since most Fascia is concentrated in the abdomen, maintaining its health is crucial for supporting vital organs and overall well-being.
It’s a vicious cycle! Impaired movement from joint and muscle pain can restrict deep breathing, leading to compromised organ function and further disrupted chi flow. Chronic pain and toxin buildup can weaken your immune system, creating a harmful cycle.
Our bodies tell the stories of our life. Naturally, we all accumulate “stuff” in our Fascia system over the years. Our Fascia is subjected to many emotional and physical injuries that can develop into chronic disease unless you clear them – permanently. It’s crucial not to let chronic pain and negative emotional energies linger in your body. That’s why I created Unstoppable Healing.
Chi Nei Tsang is the ancient SCIENCE to free the fascia
I had the great privilege of studying Chi Nei Tsang with Thubten Khadro, a Tibetan Lama. Khadro trained under world-renowned Mantak Chia, the modern ambassador of Chi Nei Tsang. Mantak, who studied with Taoist master healers, preserved and expanded their knowledge while integrating it with Thai abdominal massage and Western medicine. Sadly, since Mantak Chia introduced CNT to the West in 1979, it’s still virtually impossible to find highly trained and qualified Chi Nei Tsang practitioners. To this day, CNT remains hard to come by. That’s why I feel incredibly blessed to have had such exceptional training. It’s also the reason why my clients are coming from out of state to work with me.
Despite its profound effectiveness, Chi Nei Tsang remains a rare healing practice. Because it works directly with the Fascia tissue and vital organs, CNT achieves major physiological shifts and emotional releases in just a few sessions. It’s all about resolving issues at the point of origination, in other words, at the root of the cause. Yet, Chi Nei Tsang is at risk of becoming a forgotten science once again.
Chi Nei Tsang achieves profound results that might take years with other therapies. It addresses your subconscious “pain body” directly without going through the mind. It involves manual and energetic techniques to break down adhesions, heal injured Fascia, and restores your body’s innate chi flow and energy grid. It’s high time people comprehend the power of working with the information highway of their body.
Don’t let negative energies linger. Now that you have a glimpse of the complex dynamics of the connective tissue don’t repress, ignore, or cover up your pain! Give your body a chance to free yourself physically and emotionally from the inside out—permanently. Not only will you restore your physical flexibility. You will also gain the emotional flexibly to make healthy, wholesome choices and big decisions with grace and ease. Why?
Because everything is interconnected.
